It’s taken me a while to find a proper groove with blogging and I am getting better with managing my time between Freya, the house, life, friends etc but finally I have renewed my love for blogging and am sitting down to type.
Since it’s holiday season and whether you are going abroad or not, I wanted to share our little staycation from May when we stayed at Laceby Manor Golf Club in Lincolnshire. To start with this is not a review of the golf much to the dismay of my husband who would have loved to golf the time we were there if there was space in the boot for all his clubs! We booked one of their luxury lodges with a hot tub for 4 nights to celebrate our first getaway as a family and to mark Bob and I’s first wedding anniversary.
We stayed for 4 nights in a lodge called the Wentworth; a 2 bedroom modern lodge with outdoor private hot tub and huge veranda.
The golf resort itself was conveniently located near a large Morrisons and petrol station making it super handy for visitors like ourselves. The kitchen in the lodge had everything you could think of including dishwasher tablets, laundry powder meaning we only had to stock up on food to see us through.
We ventured out on a cool day to Donna Nook which was only a short drive away but unfortunately could not walk along the beach part due to the RAF red flags being up for practice.
Overall we absolutely loved our stay here and had a wonderful time as a family. It was a great way to learn what’s a necessity and what isn’t in terms of packing for a break away and come next year when we venture abroad for the first time, we will be more cut throat with items.
