The Nutribuddy Breakfast

I’ve made no secret of the fact that shifting all of the pregnancy pounds I gained, has been anything but easy. In fact at 4 months postpartum I could fit back into my pre-pregnancy jeans but the reality is, I’m still around 10lbs heavier even now.

When I was offered the chance to review the Nutribuddy Breakfast, I was 100% on board as managing to eat breakfast every day has been a struggle from day of 1 of looking after a tiny human. It might sound pathetic but days can go by and you can easily miss a meal or 2 each day due to caring for your little one. A lot of people would think this is the answer to weight loss and the pounds should be slipping off me by now but the truth is your body holds onto fats if it thinks it’s being starved.

Once my order was placed, it appeared in the post in no time and it was time to start enjoying my breakfast shakes. I ordered a 14 day supply of the Chocolate Brownie flavour shake which is a blend of organic oats, seeds and coconut.

Beating the Christmas Bulge

This is not a pre-christmas-post christmas workout plan so don’t be alarmed!

Today on the blog, I’m telling you my thoughts about Exante’s christmas range and how it’s helping me beat any post-christmas bulge.

The christmassy options from Exante include, a chai latte shake, irish cream shake, and gingerbread latte shake as well as some of their usual products; chocolate muesli and chocolate orange meal replacement bar.

After trying out lots of their other products in recent months which you can read about HERE, I jumped at the chance to try out some more Christmassy options. I was slightly apprehensive of the flavoured shakes but wanted to give it a go, so bit the bullet one morning.

The results were: I loved them all! They taste incredible and it’s made me want to rush out to a coffee shop and buy a gingerbread latte now I know I love the flavour. These products are fab at keeping hunger pangs at bay and leaving you fuller for longer. I definitely found I snacked less and if I did want a snack, I chose fruit as an option.

Overall I have been really impressed with this diet range having never been a big diet person in the past. On the run up to my wedding in May, I plan to use these as much as possible to maintain my size and fit into my wedding dress on the day. The plus side of using them in the run up to Christmas is that any weight I’ve lost, may be gained again at Christmas but it won’t have as big an impact hopefully.

Have a wonderful Christmas and thanks for reading as always.

What It’s Really like to do a TeaTox

I am one of those people who will openly admit that the word teatox sends shudders down my spine. I’ve heard such nightmare stories from people and even suffered some horrific stomach pains 2 days into a 14 day teatox myself last year. Needless to say, said teatox was binned and I will never touch that brand again.

I’ve been on a bit of a health kick of late and getting into shape with Results with Lucy, and as this finished, I decided it would be the perfect opportunity to try out a teatox again but this time, only for 7 days.

I was offered a 7 day teatox to review from Nutriplan, which consisted of 7 morning tea bags and 4 evening tea bags to be used every other night.

The SlimKitten 7 day teatox contains lots of natural ingredients and has a fruity taste and smell when you open the bag and is even stronger when you add hot water.

I followed the instructions as stated and brewed a teabag every morning before breakfast and then every other evening, I did the same with the bedtime¬†brew. I was pleasantly surprised by the taste every day and having previously had a bad experience with a similar teatox, couldn’t believe that I was managing to drink it down without a problem.

On the 3rd day, I did notice a few more visits to the toilet but I had no stomach pains or issues which was a major plus. The first teatox I did last year made me feel horrendous and left me in a lot of pain which was the reason I swore to never try one again. I’m glad I changed my mind and decided to take a leap of faith with this.

The purpose of a teatox for those of you asking is to detox the body and aid in weight loss and cleanse the body. I definitely noticed my stomach was less bloated throughout the week and I felt energised. I did notice my skin was suffering a little but with any cleanse, the body rejects the impurities and this was probably the case for my skin as well.

Here’s the sketch:

Yes this teatox did have some benefits and certainly for ¬£8.99, it’s fab for a detox a week before an event/holiday.

I don’t think it’s a sustainable plan on its own and certainly wouldn’t give you weight loss without changing your diet and exercise as well, so please do not think it’s a quick fix.

The tea itself is pleasant to drink with a fruity taste and has a red colour when brewed for 5-10mins. It reminded me of berry tea which is one of my favourites.

Would I buy it again?

In short, yes! It’s a bargain and would be fab before a holiday or even my wedding next year.

I hope this honest review has helped you decide whether to try a teatox for yourself, do feel free to leave me any comments or questions below.
