A fair while ago, I shared some of my New Zealand beauty purchases with you and one of the brands I purchased a fair whack from was Formula 10.0.6. It wasn’t a brand I had ever seen before but I was keen to try it out as the price was so reasonable.
Having already tested their best face forward cleanser and not being completely blown away by it, I was curious by the larger cleanser of the selection; the Absolute Dream Clean. Firstly I loved the smell of this one, its cucumber and grape and definitely felt cooler and fresher than the previous cleanser.
The consistency of this one is a white gel cream which is easy to rub in and lather up. It reminded me of the Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish in the way it looked but didn’t work in the same way.You only need a pea size amount and some warm water and it creates a generous amount of bubbles.
I have been using this daily with my Magnitone Lucid brush to try to get my skin into tip-top condition. Having been under a fair amount of stress recently, my skin is out of control! However I feel I am back on trick with this lovely cleanser. Given that it’s a brand that I wasnt familiar with before, I was worried I wouldn’t be able to re-purchase it again when I run out. But do not fret people, I found it on sallyexpress.com along with many of the other products in the range at great prices.
I will be sharing a few of the other product reviews in the upcoming weeks so keep your eyes peeled and if you’re on the lookout for a new cleanser then I would recommend this completely. It’s a must have for me in future.
A couple of days ago I wrote and featured photos from my trip up the Sky Tower in Auckland, New Zealand. Amazingly I didn’t take lots of photos just several videos and a few pretty pictures here and there but I am terrible for forgetting to take photos all the time. I can’t be a good beauty blogger and not explore beauty products whilst on my travels so today’s post is dedicated to some of my beauty buys all the way from New Zealand. I actually bought so much bulky stuff that getting my suitcase closed again was a task on its own.
First up was my Dermalogica Clear Start products that I purchased after having my facial. I love these products and am gutted I have never indulged in them before.
Next up is the L’Oreal Ever Strong sulphate free shampoo and conditioner. I haven’t tried this stuff before but I always looking for shampoo and conditioner that is more natural but also keeps my hair strong. I can’t wait to test this stuff out as my auntie swears by it.
Next up is a brand I have never come across as they only seem to ship to the US, Canada, Australia and France. The range is Formula 10.0.6. I purchased the Absolute Dream clean cleanser with cucumber and grape and also a breakout calming mask. I also purchased another set like the one below as they were a bargain price of around £5-£6 each and I couldn’t resist trying them out.
Just as above here is the 2nd set I purchased featuring another cleanser, a moisturiser, a mud mask, some pore strips and overnight spot minimizing patches. I cannot wait to test all of these products out and I absolutely love the packaging on them. I will be sharing my findings over the next couple of months.
Last up was a freebie for signing up to one of the beauty stores newsletters and it’s the Lipidol Facial Oil which naturally helps to remove makeup and dirt from the face without stripping the skins natural oil barrier. I am a bit wary of an oil based product however I am looking forward to testing it out and writing about it.
Keep your eyes peeled over the next few months as I test and review all of these fab products. I am going to try to do a 30 day review on most of the products to get honest opinions and findings so you can get an accurate reflection of the product.
Thanks for reading
I’ve been back in the great land that is the UK now for a couple of weeks and it’s safe to say I’m missing the sunshine of New Zealand already. I have my 2016 holiday already booked and Bob and I will be jetting off to Mexico. I thought I would do a couple of NZ related posts over the next week towards Christmas to share some of the lovely stuff I got up to over there. To kick off these posts in style I bring you the Auckland Sky Tower. We decided to go up on a pretty grey/blue sky day so visibility wasn’t as far as normal however you had a fantastic view of the city and some gorgeous scenery. The sky tower itself has an observation deck, a couple of restaurants including one that rotates and even a Casino. It’s actually called Sky City up there because it has so much to do inside.
I hope you enjoy the pictures.
Thanks for reading, I hope you spotted my view of a giant Santa: very fitting don’t you think?
