My Favourite Cashback/Money Making Apps

It’s been over 3 months since my last post and I won’t lie; I 100% lost my love for blogging hence the silence. In that time, I’ve been on holiday to Kos, started an incredible job that means I have a better home life balance and found my mojo again when it comes to writing. Gone are the days of me writing about skincare (not completely but for now I don’t have the passion for it) and hello, money saving, money making and general lifestyle.

Whilst on holiday I did a poll asking if anyone wanted me to share my favourite cashback or money making apps and the answer was a unanimous yes (good news because I was going to write one anyway). So here it is people and let me know in the comments if you think I’ve missed any other good apps out.

Shopmium

I’ve been using this app for a while and the basics of the app is a way to get freebie products or money off products making them cheaper. It’s a really simple app to use and the steps to claim your cashback goes as follows:

  • Select which products you want to buy, check which store they can be found in and purchase.
  • Scan the barcodes of the products and scan the receipt into the app itself by selecting the piggy bank icon.
  • Once confirmed the money will be sent to your paypal account which you will have linked up when setting up your profile.
  • Really easy steps and I’ve had money as quickly as 48 hours later before back in my account.
*Post contains referall codes*

If you want to use this app yourself and have a go at getting some freebies then you can use my referral code t5j4z which will get you a free tub of Nutella to claim once signed up.

Shoppix

This is an app I discovered that you can earn vouchers from by uploading pictures of your receipts. I have been using this app since I went back to work in September and have already cashed out a £5 voucher and have earnt enough points for a £10 voucher already. I’m working towards a £20 voucher instead so I haven’t cashed anything out yet.

Enlightly

This is a survey app that pops up randomly with questions for you to answer. Once you hit 50 questions answered you get a £2.50 reward and then when you hit 100 questions you get a £7.50 bonus. Minimum payout threshold is £5 but since downloading it a couple of months ago I have cashed out £20 already.

Receipt Hog

This works exactly the same as Shoppix so I generally bulk upload receipts to the 2 apps but you have to upload them within a 7 day period of the transaction. The rewards aren’t as high as Shoppix so this has taken longer to build up balance wise but I’m working towards a £10 voucher on this one.

Clicksnap from Quidco

This is a fab app for cashback on grocery purchases and has given me a chance to try foods/drinks that I wouldn’t normally have purchased by swapping them for my usual ones. The benefit to this app is the payout is very fast, usually within a couple of days as it goes through your Quidco account for payout. I have used this one and CheckoutSmart (another app with the same concept) however CheckoutSmart has a minimum payout threshold of £20 otherwise there is a 5% fee. ClickSnap does not incur a fee.

GreenJinn

This is another cashback app for groceries and has offers across Tesco, Waitrose and Sainsbury’s. Like the other shopping apps, you select your purchases then take a photo of your receipt to claim your cashback. This is a fantastic app for everyday grocery offers and does give cashback on Method cleaning products which is a big thing as we all know with the cleaning world right now.

So that’s it really in terms of my most used cashback or money saving apps. I’m planning another post regarding my best online money making sites which will come in the next couple of weeks but as I said at the start of my post; feel free to leave me any comments with apps I might be missing out on.
