We all know I’m still holding on to some post baby chub that just won’t shift its way off my hips. I’ve been trying to do exercise but lately I feel as though I’ve lost some motivation when it comes to daily cardio workouts. My aim every day has been to walk somewhere between 12k-15k steps and do organic exercise like housework etc to lose the remaining hip chub without exacerbating myself.
As a lover of caffeine, I was over the moon to receive a box of Get Nourished iced coffee drinks to try out.

Get Nourished contains 25g of protein per bottle and comes in 3 delicious coffee flavours. It’s high amount of protein means it has one of the highest levels of protein in the UK protein drink market. The coffee has been carefully blended to serve a strong coffee with a subtle flavour in Coconut, Vanilla or Hazelnut.
The drink is made using a high quality lactose-free milk protein and on top of that the product is also gluten-free. The drink is the perfect breakfast wake up or could be used as a mid-morning or mid-afternoon pick me up which is how I’ve been using it in my day-to-day routine.
These iced coffee drinks have been the perfect addition to my routine especially when we go out for walks round the village as these tend to be long to keep Freya asleep or to get her to doze off in the first place. Out of the three flavours I tried, the hazelnut one was my absolute favourite.
Overall I really liked these drinks and unlike other protein drinks, they didn’t leave a horrible aftertaste which is a big plus as I love iced coffee in general but was worried about the high level of protein and how that might affect the taste.
If you fancy trying out the coffee’s for yourself then head to either Holland & Barrett, Musclefood.com or Getnourished.co.uk.

It’s taken a while to actually write this post up and unsurprisingly it’s all in the title of this post.
Life with a newborn baby is like nothing you can ever imagine. Even when you’re pregnant, I don’t think the reality of what it will be like with a baby is ever in your mind. So here’s the lowdown on our life with a newborn up to now as we mark her 8th week in the world.
I was recently contacted to find out if I would be interested in trying out some coffee samples from the lovely company that is Beanies! I was asked to select a couple of flavours that I would like to try out and can say I snapped it up quickly. When I had a look on the website I was pleasantly surprised that all the flavours were interesting and nothing I had come across before. The flavours I selected were *Amaretto Almond and *Chocolate Orange. I was also sent the *Double chocolate as an extra to sample as well.
I have finally tried them all after initially worrying about the flavours. When You first open the jars you get a really overpowering smell of each of the flavours. As you can imagine, it’s quite hard to imagine the coffee tasting anything like coffee rather than chocolate or amaretto. I was pleasantly surprised by each of the coffees once I followed instructions and added water to my trusty Starbucks mug. The taste is lovely in each of the 3 flavours and the coffee itself is very prominent with more of an aftertaste of each one.
An amazing bit of info I didn’t spot until I received the samples is that each serving is less than 2 calories and all the flavours are 100% sugar free! How incredible is that? That means you can indulge in chocolatey goodness in your coffee without feeling guilty later.
I have recently started enjoying black coffee which for anyone who knows me, knows I normally pour the milk in. I’m really glad I have started doing this or I would never have been able to appreciate the Beanie’s flavours. I would thoroughly recommend these lovely coffees and they can be found on the website direct or are now being stocked in Tesco and Sainsbury’s. If you can’t choose between the amazing range of flavours then you can order a stashbox which includes 9 of the flavours to try.
