My 2015 Christmas Sale Puchases

It’s safe to say this year, I definitely spent more than I have ever done in previous sales. The reason I went a bit crazier than normal this year was due to us buying our first home soon and knowing full well I will be well and truly skint. I purchased mostly beauty bits and pieces if I’m honest and cannot wait to get trying them out and share them with you in the next few months.

First up was this little bargain from superdrug: the Nip+Fab overnight facial kit. I absolutely love this range and thought I would treat myself to something different after becoming obsessed with the Dragon’s blood range. This little starter kit was only £6 and it will give me a good idea whether it’s good for my skin without paying for the full size versions just yet.

Next up were these sets of replacement brush heads for my Magnitone brush. I adore my cleansing brush and it has worked wonders for my skin but it’s important to replace the heads every 8-12 weeks to avoid bacteria build up. These were only £6 each meaning they were just under half their usual price. Another bargain buy from Superdrug.

It’s important to say that up to this point including the Body Shop haul above, all my shopping had been online after getting flooded in to the village around York, meaning getting anywhere was a no go. I picked up the extra virgin minerals liquid and loose powder foundations as well as the Vitamin C capsules and the tea tree cream wash. The makeup was around £5 each, the capsules £8 and the tea tree wash was £3.

Next up I treated myself to this fab Get A Smooth On bag from Boots for £17.50 instead of £35. Soap & Glory is one of my favourite brands and I couldn’t resist this gorgeous bag of treats. I already have a few products but havent’s tried out the sugar crush range and can’t wait. I had saved enough points on my advantage card to actually pay via the card rather than cash so it was an added bonus.

Last up I treated myself to other skin care products. The Elemis range came as a result of my facial at the Elemis counter in John Lewis last week and it was on offer for £38.50 featuring 2 full size products and 2 smaller ones. I love the resurfacing range so I am looking forward to properly using this in my routine.

I also treated myself to some Cetaphil gentle skin cleanser from Boots for £8.99. This is a well rated product for skin care and caught my eye last year. I found out my lovely step cousin uses it and her skin is in great condition for 16 years old. I decided to treat myself and try it out to see what it does for my skin.

I hope you look forward to 2016 and what it brings, hopefully you get some useful information from my blog and enjoy reading it. Feel free to leave me any comments regarding my purchases and whether you’ve used them before.

Thanks

Recent Bargains

Lately I have been putting myself on a continuous spending ban in order to save as much money as possible for buying my own place. I will be honest and say I have still treated myself to the odd thing and thought I would share some of my recent bargains that I have found with you lovely lot.

011

First up I went to Boots to purchase another Bleach London Dip Dye Kit which normally retails at £7. I noticed the kits were on offer for £4 instead so I snapped up two of them so I don’t need to buy another for a while. I am going to use one of the kits this week to re-blonde my hair and then probably won’t do it again for a few months or so as it lasts really well.

012

Next up I was browsing round the F+F sale at Tesco in York last week and saw they had some of their summer range on offer. I grabbed a bikini top and bottom that would go well together and for a bargain £3 each, I cannot complain. They will be perfect for my holidays this year.

013

Lastly in the F+F sale again, I noticed these gorgeous mosaic tile printed bohemian style trousers. They only had them in a size 6 which normally wouldn’t fit me but because they have a stretchy waistband, they fit perfectly. They were on sale for a bargain £8 and I couldn’t resist again for my holidays later this year.

Overall I have hardly splurged a great deal but everything I have bought will be used/worn. I am still trying to save my hardest and will be sharing some of my best tips in August on how to be a kick-ass saver, so keep your eyes peeled.
