It’s nearly that time of year

Nope, I’m not talking about Christmas although its high on my agenda; I’m talking about Black Friday!

It is now a mere 10 days away from what was typically an American tradition in the past, the Black Friday Bonanza, where companies slash prices on a lot of their products to try and entice us to spend, spend, spend in November.

Clearly it has worked and people go a little crazy, getting up early to nab a bargain or throwing themselves online and causing mayhem to companies sites. I’ve got caught up in it myself in the past and tried to look online at bargains etc but honestly gave up at the prospect of queueing to get on a website (If i wanted to queue, I’d go to the shop!)

I don’t want this post to be all about major sales etc because frankly it would be a lie if I said I was super excited for shopping. What is not a lie, is the prospect of new competitions to enter and the hope of winning something big.

Last week I shared the fact that I was a major competition enterer (probs not a word I know), and Black Friday has brought to my attention, a Halfords competition.

Halfords are giving away thousands of pounds worth of goodies all chosen from their top deals which will go live on 25th November (the big day), and I myself will not be missing out on this opportunity.

The competition itself is super easy to enter, just create an account and answer a simple Black Friday related question. Entries close at midnight on 22nd November so get enterting sooner rather than later so you don’t miss out on the chance to win some incredible prizes.

So what are you waiting for?

Great Skin Under £5

It’s not a complete myth that spending a bit more on skin care can be better for your skin, but after trialling oodles of products out over the years, I have found some amazing skin care products costing less than £5. I think it’s about time I share them with you lovely readers out there and help you get fantastic looking skin.

I’ve only recently started using a couple of these products including our first one up; St Ives Blemish Fighting Apricot Scrub. This scrub is great for those of us with spot prone skin who need a quick refresh to clean those pores. I absolutely love the scent of this scrub and you can definitely smell the apricot in it. The gritty bits are not too harsh on the skin and left my skin feeling and looking healthier. I try to use this once a week as not to be too harsh but also get the best looking skin possible.

Next up and one of the best face masks I have ever used is the Quick Fix Facials Anti-Blemish Mud Mask. This mask is great for clearing the pores and helping fight those pesky spots. I love to use this once a week again for a quick refresh and also give my skin a healthy glow.

My favourite bargain is the Wilko cocoa butter body lotion which is under £2!! My mum recommended this to me years ago when I started with my problematic skin and I have never looked back. This is my go to product when I start having a flare up and need to stop using a few products. This moisturiser leaves my skin soft and clears up dry skin and spots within a couple of days. I would recommend this to anyone who needed a cheap product that definitely works.

For those of you looking for a multi-purpose affordable product then look no further than the Olay Double Action moisturiser day cream & Primer. Again my lovely mum put this in my christmas stocking and it is one of the best light moisturisers I have ever used. It primes my skin perfectly for my foundation and also stops it getting shiny throughout the day.

God bless my lovely mum for putting me onto some of these products in the first place. Between the two of us we have found some great bargain products over the years.

I hope you find some use in these products and get the urge to buy them for yourself. They are must have items for your makeup table or bathroom cabinet.
