I have been thinking about holidays a lot lately with the fleeting sunshine that we have been blessed with. I have some exciting travel plans that will hopefully be set in stone soon so all I keep thinking of is my holiday wardrobe and more importantly, the shoes I will be wanting to take with me.
I spotted a site I had never seen before whilst looking for flip-flops and came across Ipanema.uk.com specifically dealing in flip-flops and lovely ones at that. I don’t know about you but I tend to buy a few pairs from Primark which maybe cost me £1 or £2 a pair and as you may expect, they don’t last very long; hence the few pairs!
I thought about buying a sturdier pair last year before my holiday to Mexico but didn’t want to buy just any old pair and never took the time to do some proper research. Ipanema.uk.com has footwear for Men, Women and Kids, mainly flips flops but also sandals for Women and Kids as well.
I have picked out a few of my favourite pairs from their site and will be adding them to my travel wish list for sure.
First Up I chose the Ipanema Mix Premium in black. They also come in white and gold as well as the black colour but I definitely prefer the black as they would go with lots of outfits. They are on the site for £20 and look extremely comfy.
Next up I wanted to add a bit of glam to my flip-flop and came across the Ipanema Metallic III for £18.00. This pair is black and gold again but come in more colour options including pink and blue. The top of this pair has a lovely pattern on them and would look great on again, going with many outfits.
Lastly I really liked the Ipanema Unique III pair which have a british theme to them. They are red, blue and white and are again on the website for £16.00 so an absolute bargain.
I will be updating you on my travel plans in the next few weeks so keep your eyes peeled and once confirmed I will be purchasing some fab summer bits and pieces like some of these lovely flip-flops. Ipanema.uk.com have lots of different options on their site at great prices so head on over and check them out.
I hope you liked my picks and let me know if you have any Ipanema flip-flops yourself.
Lately I have been treating myself to the occasional gift. I have deserved the odd treat lately with lots of things going on in my life, the stress levels have been high and gifts have been required. Firstly I purchased the Game of Thrones box set 1-3 in anticipation for the new series coming out. I have been re-watching the episodes to remind myself of how awesome the programme is and how much I love it. I bought it in a furious Ebay bidding war that resulted in a win for me at a fab price – Result!
I then purchased two tubes of face masks from Quick Fix Facials. I bought the Anti-Blemish Mud mask and the Purifying Charcoal Mask. I have been using them both lately and will be posting the results in a separate post coming in the next couple of weeks. I bought them on offer in Boots and love them so much so I will definitely be buying them again in the future.
Lastly i treated myself to an electric toothbrush from Asda while it was on offer. As you can see it is still in its box a month later! (disappointed in myself to say the least) I have yet to use it but I really wanted a new toothbrush that would last a bit better as I like to keep my teeth in good condition. I promise I will open the box and use this shiny new thing in the next week or so once I’ve sorted my life out.
I haven’t been spending too much money but as you can see, i bought things whilst on offer or on eBay. I’m a bit of a bargain hunter and hate parting with money so always look for a discount or voucher. I am going to be trying to save as much as possible going forward towards a holiday and will be sharing more with you about that in May.
I hope you liked this little segment and let me know what you’ve been buying lately in the comments section below!
I thought I would start the week off with a post I haven’t done before; one about the products I am currently using to make myself look acceptable on an average day. I work in a customer facing job and try to keep my everyday makeup pretty simple so that it doesn’t look crazy or starts sliding off my face after a stressful day. (I’m not suggesting my face is very oily btw)
I start off with foundation and am currently using Rimmel Match Perfection in Ivory. This foundation is fab and my go to base as it gives great coverage but is not overly thick looking. I am a pale person (Caspar the ghost pale) so I always want to be careful that I don’t get a line on my jaw with any foundation. I have a couple of these foundations so that I don’t run out anytime soon and will continue to use this one in the future.
I then use a dab of Rimmel Stay Matte Mousse Foundation in Ivory again as a touch up to conceal any imperfections that have snuck their way through the base foundation. This has been a go to product of mine for a couple of years now and i can’t see myself giving it up anytime soon.
Next I have been using Soap & glory Thick & fast mascara on my lashes everyday. It is lovely and light and the brush doesn’t give me a clumpy look like spiders legs which i cannot stand. it looks lovely and natural and i absolutely love the effect it has.
Lastly I try to use a bit of bronzer to highlight my cheeks and the occasional light shade of eyeshadow on my lids. I don’t use much, just a mere smattering of colour to give some warmth to my face and look less pasty and ghostlike. Currently I am using a palette that’s from Next and I absolutely love all the metallic eyeshadow shades and the lovely bronzer shades in it.
I don’t mix up my makeup a great deal as once I find a good product, I tend to stick to it. For a night out I would use a different mascara maybe and darker eye shadow shades but my base doesn’t change at all really.
Have you shared your everyday face makeup recently? and can you recommend any products to me?
Hope you enjoyed this post.
