Quick Fix Facials: Review

Last month while in Boots, I decided to treat myself to some new face masks in the shape of Quick Fix Facials. I purchased 2 different types, the Purifying Charcoal Mask and the Anti-Blemish Mud Mask. My skin has been up and down lately and I want to inject some life back into it as well as trying to keep spots at bay, so I had high hopes that these two would help me out.

I have been trying them both out by using them each once a week to give my skin a 10minute refresh at a time. The charcoal mask is to clear out pores and give you a skin boost which it certainly did. I have seen my skin become a lot softer brighter looking than it was before.

I loved the Charcoal mask as it didn’t smell much and wasnt difficult to get off after drying either. I used a soft sponge and warm water and it wiped away really easily. I then tried the Anti-Blemish Mud mask to try to prevent any new spots etc. It worked really well and I haven’t seen any new spots appear and also has cleared out my pores as well.

Overall both masks have worked a treat and I am going to continue using them both to help look after my skin more and remain youthful! each tube states it would provide around 10 masks each so this would last about 4/5 months for me depending on how frequent I use them. I purchased them whilst they were on offer and were about £3.00 each at the time and then got double points on top of that! Happy Face 🙂

I would recommend either of these products to anyone wanting to take better care of their skin so run out and purchase them for yourself whilst they are still on offer in Boots!

Hope you liked my review.

Office Pantry: A Review*

Where to start with Office Pantry. The name alone tells you pretty much what they stand for. This fabulous company delivers office snacks that are nutritionally healthy and wholesome to fuel your office. They can cater for different sizes of offices ranging from 1-15, 15-50 or 50-200 providing many different snacks for you all to beat the office blues with.

I was lucky enough to be sent a little box of my own containing 4 different snack types to try out from the lovely Giles whom I got in contact with after seeing a post on The Blogger Programme. I was very intrigued to find out what would be in my box and found some nutritional yet scrummy snacks.

First up I received some Pastino’s Tomato & Sweet Basil crisp-like snacks. They were to die for and although one bag is a filler-upper, I could have easily eaten more. They are so more-ish and on my list to buy some more as soon as possible.

Next up I demolished the Clearly Scrumptious dried cranberries which were an amazing snack whilst watching Once Upon a Time on Netflix. I have never been a big fan of dried fruit before but there were juicy and I just wished there were more in a packet.

I also received a 9Bar fruity which is a mixed seed energy bar. I have seen this brand a lot and have wanted to try one out for ages so what a perfect opportunity. It was again a yummy addition to my box and given I will admit to being a junk food nut, it made me want to snack better in the future.

Lastly I received a Marshfield Honeycomb Tiffin slab to try. Words cannot explain my love for Tiffin and this was incredible. Chocolate, Honeycomb, Biscuit and Sultanas all wrapped up together in a beautiful rectangle. I sound a bit strange I suppose but I really do love Tiffin.

After having more of a browse on the Office Pantry site and eating these delicious snacks I realised that they cater for office meetings, conferences and even deliver fresh fruit to your office for you. I think it’s a fantastic idea as I know from working in an office myself how difficult it is to resist the call of junk food as a snack.

They have a fantastic example on their site from the very first office they provided snacks for giving some truth about those “HANGRY” moments we get at work when you just grab chocolate or crisps. (I have definitely had some of those myself haha)

I would definitely check Office Pantry out if you work in an office, or own a business because if my boss had something delivered like that then I know I would be in an amazing mood!

May has Arrived

Where has this year gone?? We are already in May and the first 4 months of the year have just flown. It only feels like yesterday when I was enjoying a glass of bubbly ringing in the New Year! I wanted to do a bit of recap post and update you on everything in Laura’s world!

So my buying a house plans have gone a little awry and I haven’t been as focused at trawling Rightmove and Zoopla like I used to. I have a decent deposit saved up so my plan for May is to find my first home, no excuses!

I started a new job in March with the same company and am loving it. It’s a bit stressful at times but I am learning so much that it’s definitely worth it.

I booked my flights to New Zealand to go visit my Auntie in Auckland in November. Yes it’s about 6 months away but I actually can’t wait to go and spend some time with them and see some of the other side of the world! Get ready for a countdown that will probably start in a couple of months haha!

My blog has been really busy and I have been working with some great brands/companies and it is only going from strength to strength. I want to thank all you lovely readers for helping me with this and making me want to write more and better posts. Yesterday (April 30th) I will have gone to my first blogger event and will be sharing photos and details with you in the next week or 2.

Yes my plans haven’t gone totally to schedule but it has been a crazy and fast 4 months so far and I don’t doubt the rest of the year will follow suit. Thanks to all the lovely people in my life who are always there for me, and the readers who take the time to read my posts. Keep you eyes peeled for lots more posts this month and leave me a comment if you just want to say Hi!

Thanks again
