I have made no secret to any person who has ever met me or read my blog, that I have a weak spot for shoes. I have a very overflowing wardrobe full of the babies and can’t bear to part with any of them. Seriously though, its become a bit of an addiction and I literally have to shove my wardrobe door closed every day. It also takes me a good rummage to find matching shoes which is a nightmare at any time because I normally leave it last-minute to find said matching shoes.
I wanted to share with you, some of very favourites, all of which just happen to be high heels (because I have lots of them) and all from New Look after falling in love with their very comfortable shoes at a young age. Every pair I wear from New Look normally lasts me a good amount of time and always wear in to be super comfy as well. So here are my favourites….
Let’s state the obvious, they are all very monochrome, either black, white or grey. I do own lots of other shoes with bits of colour and nudes etc but I absolutely love all 5 of these pairs. They are perfect for every season making the transitions from Spring to Winter because of their shades. The black pair in the middle are amazing and the thick buckle makes the super sturdy. The grey pair look fab with skinny blue jeans and a bright top for a Spring/Summer event. The bottom pair took a bit of wearing in as the strap at the toes was a bit tight at first but now they are lovely. I have yet to wear the caged stiletto’s but they are massively on trend right now and can’t wait to wear them out. I wore the top grey and black pair with some peg leg trousers and a cami for a nice meal and they were surprisingly comfy as well which I didn’t expect them to be at the toes.
I have got plenty more shoes in my wardrobe and will share some of my favourite flats etc in the next few months so you can see my lovely collection.
Are any of you fans of New Look’s amazing shoe range???
Hope you like my favourite heels?
Last week I went to Primark for the first time in ages. I had a list in my head of what I wanted to get and only got 1 of those things! As usual, I grabbed a basket and threw things in, not really totting it up until I see the price on the till! OOPS I picked up a few lovely things and it came to around £46 in the end which for me is not bad at all.
Here is what I purchased…
First up the shoes. the pair on the left cost £10.00 and the pair on the right are £8.00. I was after some sandals for my trip to New Zealand in November and don’t want to leave it to late or all the summer clothes will be gone and there will only be Winter stuff then. I love both pairs and they feel really comfy when on.
Next up the clothes. I didn’t buy too many; a Game of Thrones Tee costing me a whole £6, some gorgeous black and white Aztec shorts which were £6 too and a blue and white floral cami that cost £6 too. I love cami’s and this one will be perfect in the summer with some jeans or a maxi skirt. The shorts I will keep for my holiday and the tee is just a treat for myself since I absolutely LOVE GOT!
Next up I treated myself to 2 ring sets. I don’t normally wear a lot of jewellery but I love the midi ring trend that is happening right now and really wanted some myself, At a bargain price of £1.50 and £2.50, how could I say no?!
Lastly I picked up a travel pillow for £3 for my immense 27 hour plane journeys later in the year. i havent photographed it as I have put it away in my suitcase to start gathering bits and pieces together but overall I am really pleased with what I bought, but not doubt I will head back to primark several more times before November.

Back in March I decided to have my hair cut short after having it mid-way down my back for the last 6 months. This meant most of my ombre locks were chopped off in the process and my idea was to wait a while and leave my hair natural for a while. Needless to say this lasted a whole 5 minutes and I wanted my ombre putting back in. I have paid for salons to do it in the past and paid a fortune to have the smallest amount of hair bleached so this time I decided to put to test the Bleach London Dip Dye kit.
I am fortunate enough to live at home with my mum so she came to the rescue and helped me out with this one as I can’t reach the back of my head to do the back bits properly. Mum got on her gloves and sorted my do out. The packet contained Bleaching powder, Blending lotion, developing lotion, Brush, Gloves and a reincarnation Mask.
You start by splitting you hair into 3 sections and go to the point where you would like the ombre to start from. At this point you rub in the blending lotion into a couple of cm’s of hair. You should mix up the bleaching powder and developing lotion and start brushing it onto your hair from where the blending lotion stops. Where both parts meet you should massage your hair slightly so the blending lotion gives it a nice fade in to the ombre and doesn’t make it look blocky.
Repeat this all over your hair until happy with the results and leave to work its magic on your hair for about 40-45 minutes.
After this you rinse your hair twice before lathering on the reincarnation mask and leaving it on the hair for around 15-20 minutes. This stops the bleach from drying your hair out and gives it a super soft texture. Once all the time is up you wash your hair as normal and style as you see fit.
I was pleased with the overall results and plan to use the kit again in a month or so to give it a refresh and maybe start the blonde a bit higher next time. Here were my results….
The kit is on sale from Boots for a bargain £7 and to say the results were so fab, it’s a fraction of the price I paid in the salon for not as great results. If you are wanting to ombre your hair or re-ombre then I would thoroughly recommend Bleach London.
Hope you enjoyed
