Easter has been and gone, but a few days before the big day I decided to do some baking. I haven’t baked in so long so I was worried about how it would go or whether I would find my flair for it again but I had a stab at making Creme Egg Chocolate Brownies for the first time EVER! It wasn’t a disaster like I thought it might be in my head but instead they turned out great if a little squidgy at first but once set they were yummy.
I started by melting 180g of butter and 180g of dark chocolate in a pan over some boiling water…
I then mixed 3 eggs and 275g of Golden caster sugar in a bowl until it went pale and the size doubled…
Once the chocolate mixture cooled, it was then added to the egg and sugar mixture and I then weighed up 85g of plain flour and 40g of cocoa powder…
The flour and cocoa powder was then sieved into the rest of the mixture and folded in until well mixed…
It was then poured into the trays and placed in the oven for 15 minutes. After this I added the creme egg’s. I halved 6 eggs and put them into the mixture evenly and put back into the oven for a further 10 minutes before leaving to cool and set. And here is the final result….
I am really impressed with the recipe which I found over Here! Did any of you do any easter baking posts?
I was browsing through the Blogger programme last week and saw a company called Pet Shop Bowl on there or www.petshop.co.uk as they can be found on the web. I have a 6-year-old Spaniel Cross called Millie and regularly post photos of her on my Instagram page, so I was delighted when they agreed to work with me and send me one of their lovely boxes catered to Millie.
The box arrived in Thursday and was huge! I meant to take a photo of the box itself but Millie had other ideas and loves to rip apart things like that, so that idea when out the window. Inside was 4 different food products all different from the last. First up we had Huntland Scottish Salmon Grain free Dog food, 2 pouches of James Wellbeloved Lamb and Rice wet food and a packet of Pedigree Schmakos with Chicken Treats.
That evening I gave her a pouch of the wet food which she gobbled up really quickly, and then later on I gave her a Chicken treat which she practically inhaled it was gone that fast. Overall I was really impressed with the whole box as everything suited Millie down to a tee. If you go on the site itself there are hundreds of different products including toys, beds, medicines etc which you can select yourself at great prices.
I think as a treat for Millie we will definitely be using again as opposed to her regular food we get her. The service was extremely efficient and arrived quickly so I would rate Petshop.co.uk 5/5 on efficiency and product quality. Thanks Petshop.co.uk for letting Millie and I try out your wonderful site and service 🙂
Have you used this company before?
I am in love with striped tops. It’s as simple as that and I have 1 in particular that I am wearing to death so I decided to make a collage of my favourite Striped finds out there, all at reasonable prices as well. So here are my choices…
As you can see, I love a stripe and have featured a picture below in the fleeting sunshine that appeared in York a couple of weeks ago!
What do you think of my striped finds? Have you got any you can share with me?
