The Empties Post

How is already the last day of September?? This year is actually flying by and it’s not that long until my holiday and Christmas. I have already told my family that their Christmas presents may be coming from duty-free! (I joke) In true tradition now, here are my September Empties for you to gaze upon. This month has been a real mixed bag in terms of my empties and I seem to have used up a bit of everything.

First up it has been 2 hair care products this month. I used up ye olde faithful can of dry shampoo. The can I used was Girlz Only Dry Shampoo from Tesco. I once read a magazine article stating that the best dry shampoo to get is found by the mantra: the cheaper the better. This fabulous little can is currently on offer for £1.00 until 04/10/2015 and has done its job by helping me on non hair washing days.

The 2nd hair product I used was the Bleach Reincarnation Mask. This product is a godsend as I have bleached ombre ends to my hair which can get dry and straw like. This mask only needs 10-15 minutes of work on your hair after washing to do its magic and leaves you with super soft shiny hair. I always have a spare one of these at home because I would be lost without it.

Next up I have 2 body care products. The first one was a sample tube of L’Occitane Ultra Gentle Moisturiser. I won this in an Emerald Street competition and was very excited to try it out as I love the L’Occitane products. It’s super gentle and I have been using it on my face as a primer and my face has not been greasey or shiny looking. The 2nd body care item I used was the Instanatural Scar Gel. I tried this out for a couple of months and would probably not purchase the product again because I haven’t really seen a difference to my scars. It still is a good product as its very moisturising but it’s not my cup of tea.

Lastly I used a tube of B-Active vitamin and mineral dissolving tablets from tesco. These are great for a vitamin C boost for your body and I have just bought some more from another shop to try out and review. I have been struck down with a cold as I write this post and realised my vitamin C intake as been very poorly lately so I’m back on the health bandwagon again.

Overall it’s been a productive month for whittling through my many, many products. I still am on a spending ban when it comes to beauty products and unless its shampoo, foundation or deodorant, I am not buying more beauty products until I use up the ones I have. There will be many more product posts coming up as I use them up so keep your eyes peeled.

Thanks for reading
