Tune in, Switch off, Relax… with Joy

Last week after what was already a busy couple of days, I attended the Tune in, Switch off, Relax event at Joy the Store in Leeds. The purpose of the event was to bring bloggers and members of the public into the store to browse, enjoy a nail treatment from Nails Inc and then to take part in some Yoga.

I went to the event after work on Wednesday evening and was already feeling the effects of pregnancy taking its toll that week so made the decision not to take part in the yoga as I was just too tired in myself and knew my body was just not feeling it.

I was greeted by the lovely Jennie who had organised the event and offered a delicious smoothie whilst I browsed the store and waited for the Nails Inc folks to get set up.

This was the perfect opportunity to get snap happy and scout out some of the products that I would love for myself so here are a few of my chosen ones.

Once the tables were all set up and more attendees arrived, it was time to enjoy a nail pamper and manicure which was very much-needed as I had neglected to paint my nails since my wedding day (May this year!)

My nails looked incredible and everyone has been complimenting me on the colours ever since and even now writing this post; they are in tact with no chips. Well done Nails Inc, well done! I am already a big fan of these polishes and own about 10 myself so I knew they would last well when applied.

Then I had more time to browse the store and take some more pics only this time, trying not to smudge my nails in any shape or form.

I hardly ever venture into Joy but after seeing how lovely the clothing/accessories and even homeware’s are, I definitely need to shop there more often. Everything I snapped, I would love to own although maternity leave may not be the best time to start splurging the pennies…

I decided to leave the event after around an hour; mostly down to the fact that my hip/back pain had kicked in with a bang and I was ready to pregnant waddle back to my car which was a good 20-30 minute walk away especially at my slower pace. I wish I could have stayed to enjoy the yoga as I would have loved to however pregnancy and baby were telling me that I had to get home and relax and that I did.

A huge thank you to Jennie, the team at the Joy Leeds and the lovely ladies from Nails Inc. I had a lovely time at the event and will definitely return for a manicure in future as well as some shopping spree’s.
