My favourite spring coats under £50

Recently I have been browsing the sites online looking for some new clothes as I feel like I need a new look or a refresh in my wardrobe at least. I started looking for Spring coats mainly as the coats I own are rather bulky and winter-esque. I have picked quite muted colours as I am not a huge lover of bright shades as they can make me look even more Casper-ish than normal!

My favourite spring coats
I have found 6 of my favourites which I have listed below including their links and the prices I saw them at. These were the prices as of 24/02/15 but understandably these can sell out quickly at these prices.
  1. Wool Blend Coat – £27 – newlook.com
  2. Chicnova Fashion Coat – £28 – chicnova.com
  3. Black duster Coat – £28 – newlook.com
  4. Monki White Coat – £29 – monki.com
  5. Grey tweed coat – £20 – romwe.com
  6. ASOS funnel Coat – £24 – asos.com

If I had lots of pennies I would have snapped them all up straight away so I plan to think about them properly before parting with any money, and I may spot another one I like in the meantime 🙂

Have you found any coats/jackets you can share with me?

Thanks

American Apparel Yoga Pants: Buytshirtonline

Now I won’t admit to being an avid Yoga-doer but Christmas 2013 I mentioned it to my boyfriend and he bought me some yoga DVD’s for christmas which was a lovely surprise, as I hadn’t realised he had paid much attention really. I have done it on and off for the last year and some and have thoroughly enjoyed it even though it causes me some pain sometimes and yoga for beginners is sometimes a bit full on.

I received an email from Buytshirtsonline asking me to pick a product from their American Apparel range that I could try out and possibly review on my blog. Naturally I was chuffed because I love this brand and scoured through the pages until I settled on some yoga pants.

The pants are lovely and stretchy with a fold over band at the waist and a slight flare to the bottom. They look lovely on and although they are quite fitted they don’t feel too constricting. Overall I am really impressed with the quality and the fit, and having looked at their full range on the site, very affordable through Buytshirtsonline.

Having looked through the rest of the site, I am really impressed with the affordability of many of their items. There are so many great value items on there that it’s worth taking a look.

Have any of you tried any other American Apparel clothing that you could recommend to me?

Thanks

Comb: A Shopper’s dream App

About a week or 2 ago I was a part of a #FBlogger chat about a new Fashion App called Comb. I was really intrigued to download it and find out a bit more. It’s really simple to use which is amazing because I do not count myself as a tech savvy person and always avoid downloading many apps as I normally hate working them out.

Once you have created an account on the app which you can do by linking it to your facebook, you can start straight away. The idea is that you can take a picture of whatever you fancy whether it’s a pattern, a piece of clothing or a picture and the app will literally “Comb” for similar items of clothing. You can then break it down to a category i.e. dress, tops, trousers and so on.

Once you have taken a picture it will comb through and bring up the matches like below. I took a picture of a texture on my jumper and it brought up similar items. The prices will range from affordable to designer high end stuff which when I win the lottery, I will be snapping up in a hurry.

Now here for the techy bit from the people behing the app:

“You might be wondering how this super cool app works, well the software behind the app was created at the Imperial College from a team of computer scientists with more PHDs than we have handbags! The company behind the software,Cortexica, also power the apps of some of the worlds biggest retailers, like Macy’s, Zalando, and Very.co.uk – their software has been called the Shazam of Fashion!”

I would throughly recommend this app to anyone who has those moments where they see something or like a pattern and want to know where there are similar items out there. It’s free to download so get moving people!

Thanks
