Zuzka Natural Beauty: Review

I have been very fortunate in the last couple of weeks as I finally got round to joining some blogger twitter chats. One of these was the Bloggers Love Hub twitter chat where you could request a gift from a brand and wait to see if you were lucky enough to be chosen. I was over the moon to find out that I was accepted to review Zuzka Natural Beauty, a company I had seen the name of but never experienced myself.

I have blogged before about my skin problems and how I am very spot prone! (very annoying at the age of 24!!!) I was intrigued to find out about Zuzka but also a bit worried as I have to be careful with any new products that they don’t make my skin flare up.

Zuzka’s Philosophy as taken from their website:

“Zuzka wants to make caring for your skin a pleasurable experience, by providing therapeutic products with fresh natural aromas that produce beneficial, satisfying results, & to offer expert advice & information to help you understand & easily fulfill all your beauty needs.”

I received a sample size bottle of their *Rose Petal Cleansing Milk* which retails at £20.00 for a full size bottle of 150ml. It states to be good for mature skin and even the most sensitive of skins. The botanicals range which this is part of is also meant to be good for dark spots or ageing spots.

I have been using the cleansing milk for about a week now and have to say I am really IMPRESSED! The milk is light but very moisturising on the skin and doesn’t leave me with a greasy feeling like some occasionally do. I have noticed that dark spots form previous breakouts that have never paled before, are now starting to lighten by using this just twice a day. The smell of the cleansing milk is a lovely subtle rose smell and not overpowering which is fab.

I have been using a small pea sized amount on my face in the morning before applying my make-up and also the same amount at night before bed. It’s helped combat my breakout this week as I always suffer when stressed and it has been one of those weeks. Before I finish the bottle up I will definitely be looking to purchase a full sized bottle as a treat to my skin to help keep it soft and supple.

Thank you to Bloggers Love Hub and Zuzka Natural beauty for letting me take part in the chat and testing this lovely item out. I would thoroughly recommend their products to anyone out there.

Thanks

My Current Skin Heroes

Happy Sunday everyone!

Although the weather has made several attempts to give us snow, I have had a lovely chilled out day and thought I would post about my current skin heroes. I have crazy skin for a 24 year old and sometimes wake up with skin problems similar to my 16 year old self had! Nightmare I know! Because my skin can sometimes be Oily, Spotty, Dry and Blotchy, I have to be really careful with the products I use. Don’t get me wrong though, I will always try a new product out and test the water but I will know if it’s good or not after about 24 hours. So here are my current heroes:-

My go to product for removing my make up is Loreal Micellar water. It’s great for dissolving the makeup without being too harsh and leaves my skin still feeling soft and fresh.

I then use a cocoa butter moisturiser to soften my skin some more. My current product is from Wilkinsons and was recommended by my Mum when I was having some severe spotty days. I can hand on my heart say that its fab and proves you should trust your mum, she knows what she’s talking about.

The Superdug CC cream was a find one evening after leaving work and as you can see I use a light shade. This is due to the fact that I am soooo pale and nicknamed Casper by my family. This one is under £5 and I find it gives great coverage for days when I just want a light cover and can’t be doing with applying the full face.

Lastly I use Sudocrem for on the spot treatment to reduce redness on a spot that just magically appears. (Spot’s are great like that aren’t they?!)I normally dab a spot on overnight and it helps for applying makeup in the morning.

All the items above cost less than £5 and I will buy them time and time again. I hope you’ve enjoyed reading my post and comment below with your skin care heroes so I can check them out.

Thanks

Nip + Fab Dragon’s Blood Fix Pads: Review

My first ever beauty review and I decided to review my recent purchase of the Nip + Fab Dragon’s Blood Fix pads. I spotted them on offer whilst browsing the aisles of my local Superdrug in York. I have always admired the range and this was one of the first products that I spotted that I immediately wanted to buy and try out.

IMG_1397IMG_1398

The product review on the Nip + fab site and on the side of the product states that the pad’s should “refresh and smooth skin, cleanse your pores and provide long lasting hydration to help your skin appear plumper.” I would absolutely agree that after a few days of using these my skin definitely felt smoother and also gave my skin a better complexion. I have really problematic skin and have to be careful what products I use, so I was relieved they didn’t irritate me instead.

I also felt like my skin had more elasticity and did look that bit plumper which is great as my skin can sometimes look a bit dulled out. Overall I was more than impressed with the pads and will definitely look to purchase them again.

My immediate thought when I saw these beauties on the shelf was in relation to game of Thrones and all fans out there will understand. I felt like a Khaleesi using these on myself.

Thanks for reading
