A couple of weeks ago, I was fortunate enough to be invited to the Kiehls Blogger Event in the York store ran by store Manager Hannah and assistant Manager Laura. You may have seen my post a few weeks before about my first ever trip to the Kiehls store where I had a skin consultation and a mini facial. After that first trip, I have been kinda obsessed with Kiehls products and have dabbled with other products as part of my blog reviews but find myself coming back to Kiehls all the time.
We were greeted with strawberries and champagne as we walked into the store before sitting down and enjoying hearing more about Kiehls history. Kiehls started out over 150 years ago as a good old-fashioned apothecary or pharmacy to you and I, in New York. It offered its customers natural and herbal remedies which still to this day, it has carried on doing but in a more appealing branded way.
After listening to some of the history, Hannah then did a skin consultation on Kat of The Kat’s Paws and explained all of the products that she was using on Kat’s skin and why she would use them. Laura then came round and allowed us all to sample all of the products that she was using so we could try them for ourselves and see what we thought of them.
We were given time to take lots of photos and have a chat with each other while we looked at the products and talked to Laura & Hannah some more. Needless to say I took sooo many pictures and even had a selfie with Mr Bones and Laura from Beauty Best Friend….
Before we left, we were given the chance to win a hamper of Kiehls goodies including most of the range fo products that had been used on Kat during the skin consultation. The lucky winner of the hamper was Kat herself and I was a tad jealous because I am so in love with the Kiehls range.
The evening was fab and great to meet some new bloggers as well as finding out more about the Kiehls range. I love that all the packaging is simple yet eye-catching. They clearly print the name of the product, what it does and what it is made up of. As part of the event we received a goody bag each made up of lots of Kiehls samples to try, a handmade Filmore & Union smoothie made from ingredients that Kiehls use like avocado, lime etc and also some divine Betty’s macaroons. My brother nabbed the male samples as soon as I got home and my mother stole some of them as well not before i demanded certain ones for myself and all three of us have been really impressed with what we tried.
I will be going back soon to buy some more of their fab products as I am about to run out of some of my favourites and would definitely recommend the Kiehls range. Thanks to Hannah & Laura for putting on a fab night.
