Holland & Barrett is a familiar face on many a high streets nowadays and my local store in York is no exception. I don’t get the chance to venture into the city much now I work in Leeds but the few times I have been recently, I noticed the store was moving. It seemed it wasn’t moving too far, only a mere walk down Coney Street and you could spot the bigger premises they were moving too. I have seen it once since it moved and the new store looks Ah-Ma-Zing! It’s absolutely huge and features different dedicated sections such as The Beauty Kitchen.
The Beauty Kitchen are a company that make 100% natural, 100% effective and 100% affordable beauty products that are stocked in a huge section of the store. They are a company that are based in Glasgow and have branched out into Holland & Barrett stores including Chester & York. They contacted me over a month ago asking me if I would like to try out some of their wonderful natural products and I absolutely said yes. I decided to try out the Refresh Me Star Light bath bomb, the Abyssinian Oil Aroma facial concentrate and the Refresh Me Minty Wonder Balm.
Rather than trying to put all of these products into one huge review and do them all justice, I thought I would feature one at a time and make the review worth your eyes. First up is the Refresh Me Star Light Bath Bomb, and energizing minty blend to make you feel you can reach for the stars.
First things first, the smell, which was incredible. I love a minty scent and this was one subtle enough that it didn’t overpower your nose, but left your bath smelling lovely and made me relaxed. I love bath bombs and was eager to test this out and was not disappointed at all. On the scent alone, I would want to buy this again in future.
Next up, the colour. It left my bath with a gorgeous soft blue colour and didn’t stain the bath at all, which I was a bit nervous about. I had a bath bomb at Christmas which left my bath a hideous green colour and took days to scrub away so I was left with a bit of worry about using coloured bath bombs. I am glad to report that I needn’t have worried at all with this one.
I felt super relaxed in the bath using this and enjoyed the smells and how soft it left my skin after. The bath bomb costs a bargain £4.49 and is huge in size making it worth every penny in my opinion. On the website there is 11 different bath bombs which all vary in colour, scent and purpose. I intend to get myself some more soon but am using up some other bath products at the moment which are taking over my life.
Keep your eyes peeled over the next couple of weeks for the reviews of the other products and leave me a comment if you’ve tried any of their other products you feel I should try out.
*these products were sent to me to review but as always, my opinions are my own.*
