If you’re a follower of my Instagram page, you may have seen that I’ve been creating some food for Freya lately using the baby cubes from Lickalix. I thought I’d write-up a full post review of the cubes in case you don’t and are more of a reader than a watcher.
The Lickalix baby cubes come in 4 different flavours; 2 savoury and 2 sweet.
So far we’ve used 3 different flavours for making yummy baby weaning food for Freya and I have a plan for the Carrot, Sweet Potato and Butternut Squash that will be coming in the next couple of weeks.
First up we made some baby friendly fruity banana muffins; the recipe of which comes directly from the Lickalix site and includes a helpful YouTube video to watch the step by step. This recipe used 7 frozen cubes melted down for mixing.
We also took 8 of each fruity flavour cubes, allowed them to melt down and then mixed with natural yoghurt to make healthy yoghurt smoothies for Freya. In order to make these last longer, we used our Fill n Squeeze to put them into pouches ready for the freezer.
When it came to the veggie cubes, I used 6 spinach, broccoli and pea cubes mixed with soft cheese to make a cheesy veggie pasta sauce for Freya’s tea one night. (I say we but my husband did this one)
I love that you can take out as much as you need when it comes to the cubes and seal the bag back up for the freezer. They’ve come in handy for flavouring dishes for Freya and the pasta tasted very yummy and was something I’d have eaten myself.
If you’re interested in purchasing the cubes for yourself, then you can do so at Ocado.
